If you would like us to do the upgrading task for you, just give us a call on 07 3264 7945. We use our Internet Remote Support System (requires an internet connection).

If you don't have an internet connection, you can post us your latest backup and we will transfer the data into the
new version of HealthQuest and send you back the new program, ready to install and work with immediately.

The price for this service is $97 (+ gst). It will save you a couple of hours of work and much frustration. There will
also be less chance of errors and the loss of valuable data.

Here is the full list of File names and File descriptions within HealthQuest to help you correctly identify the Files
involved in the data transfer process when updating your HealthQuest program.

Follow the procedures in the Upgrade Mini-Movies for transferring data from your old files to your new program.

Step 1 - Backup Your Data!

  1. Backup your HealthQuest program before you start
  2. This is a vital step necessary to protect your data in case you make a mistake during the upgrade procedure
  3. This Step is Unnecessary if you are using CARBONITE and it is up to date

Step 2 - Patient Database

  1. Rename the folder of your old version of HealthQuest, HQX
  2. Open your old version of HealthQuest
  3. Show all patient records
  4. This step is necessary for the correct importation of all the current records into the new version of HealthQuest

Step 3 - Patient Database cont.

  1. Open your new version of HealthQuest
  2. Show all records in your patient database
  3. Delete all records
  4. Import all your patients from the old program
  5. Replace the serial number so that your patient ID numbers are correct, preventing the problem of duplicate
    patient ID numbers

Step 4 - Receipts

  1. Open your old version of HealthQuest
  2. Find all receipts, payments, line items and products
  3. Import all your receipts from the old program into your new one

Step 5 - Receipts cont.

  1. Import all your line items, payments and products from the old program
  2. Replace the receipts module serial number so that your receipt ID numbers are correct
  3. This prevents the serious problem of duplicate receipt ID numbers

Step 6 - Herbal Prescriptions

  1. Open your old version of HealthQuest
  2. Show all records in herb scripts, script items, formulas and formula items
  3. Open your new version of HealthQuest, find all herb scripts, script items, formulas and formula items and
    delete any records
  4. Import all your herb scripts, script items, formulas and formula items from the old program
  5. Replace the herb script module serial number so that your Herb Script ID numbers are correct
  6. This prevents serious problem of duplicate ID numbers

Step 7 - Amino Acid Formulas

This upgrade follows the same procedure as the Herb Script or Receipts update as shown in the mini-movies
4, 5 & 6

  1. Open your old version of HealthQuest
  2. Show all records in the Amino Acids.HQ8 module and in the AA Items.HQ8 module
  3. Import all your AA Formulas, AA items into the new program
  4. Replace the AA Formula module ID number so that your AA Formula ID numbers are correct
  5. This prevents the problem of duplicate ID numbers.

Step 10 - Upgrading Other Databases within HealthQuest

  1. To upgrade the BIA program, Health Appraisal Graph, NeuroGraph - Mood Disorder analysis program
    or any other module ...
  2. Open your old version of HealthQuest
  3. Go to the database you wish to import the records from and show all records
  4. Open your new version of the HealthQuest program that you wish to import records into ...
  5. Import the old records into your new program

Step 11 - Check ID Number Function

  1. It is vitally important to check correct operation of the ID number counter in several modules
  2. These modules are - Patient database, Receipts, Herb scripts and Amino acid formulas
  3. Go to last record of each program in turn
  4. Take note of the last ID number
  5. Create a new record
  6. Make sure that the ID number increases by 1 over the previous ID number
  7. If the ID number counter is incorrect, watch mini-movies Step 3 & 6 once more
  8. If all is correct - YOU ARE READY TO ROCK & ROLL!!
